Law, Public Safety, Corrections, and Security
This program provides students with knowledge and skills needed for legal service and criminal justice careers. Courses are designed to introduce students to a variety of topics in this area of study, including ethics and professionalism, constitutional and criminal laws, the court system, trial processes, juvenile justice and correctional systems, and human diversity. Students learn fundamental aspects of career opportunities, history and development of law, sources of law in society, civil law, criminal law and procedure, ethics and the justice system, reasoning skills, trial procedures, and communication and research skills.
